Children

Explore the experiences we offer children

We love our kids to THE MAX at St Stephen

At St Stephen our kids (3 years old through 4th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus and experience the mystery, awe, and wonder of God in creative ways.

We would love to see you and your family join us on a Sunday morning.

You can see our worship times here.

Your first visit

Here's what kids can expect when visiting St Stephen's for the first time:

First, find the area marked Kid's Check-in. Someone will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then you can head to the cafe', grab some coffee and meet some people before you worship as a family. The kids are dismissed to THE MAX (this is the name of our children's ministry) during the service right before the sermon. One of our children's ministry partners will meet your child and lead them to their very own worship space. They get the wiggles out, prepare for a story from the sacred scriptures, and have a time to respond to what they heard.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Email address
  • Cell number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

How check-in works

Before Service: You can check your child in at the Kid's Check-in kiosk. After adding or finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will pick your child up from THE MAX Worship & Wonder room and show your tag to a ministry partner in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you will get a text message from a ministry partner. We ask that you exit the auditorium and look for a ministry partner who will direct you to your child.
